Hyderabad, the city with everything so beautiful and green is basically not just a city. It is a separate kingdom in itself. It has its own rules and this city runs on its own will. That doesn’t mean it has no respect for the Indian democracy but what I meant was that this city has its own reasons to be happy or to worry about or to celebrate. Let’s find out some of the interesting facts that happen to enchant people who come to visit Hyderabad. These are my observations that have been noted in my diary and which tell me much I am fascinated by this city (or call it a kingdom).
City of pearls: Hyderabad is known to be the place where you can find perfect pearls with all sizes and in all forms of jewelry. It is called so because it is a major contributor to the pearls and diamond business.
Biggest monolithic Buddha statue: Here, in the heart of the Musi river resides the biggest monolithic Buddha statue which is 18 meters high and weighs 450 tons. You will surely be amazed to see this statue when you see it. I did when I booked my flights from ORD to Hyderabad.
Best Biryani: You would be termed as a fool if you have not eaten biryani after coming to Hyderabad. So taste it before someone calls you that. Hyderabad, the Nizami city has the Nizami influence on the cuisines also and that is how the biryani became popular.
Biggest theater screen: Prasad’s IMAX Theater in Hyderabad is the biggest 3D screen in India with a 72 X 95 height and width respectively. It is also one of the most attended screens in the world. With the sitting capacity of around 635, it’s a must visit place in Hyderabad. So next time when you book your cheap flights from Chicago to Hyderabad, make sure you don’t forget to watch a movie here.
Origin in Kohinoor: You see that Kohinoor in the museum of UK? Well it isn’t theirs and I hope you all know that. It was stolen by the Britishers from Hyderabad. So yes, Kohinoor’s birth certificate must have Hyderabad is its birth place.
So these are the five facts that you have to know about this beautiful city. Book business class flights if you have to because this city is also one of the top most evolving cities on the IT sector. If you are coming here for purely vacationing, then do not hesitate to do it.
