The island of Bali lies in the center of the Indonesian archipelago between the islands of Java and Lombok. But to the Balinese people, their island is considered to be the center of the spiritual universe. Bali has a population of around 4 million people and is a home to the Indonesian Hindu population. The Balinese practice the concept of Tri Hita Karana which seeks to balance the human, natural and spirit worlds. It is actually this sense of Bali that makes it something more than just a physical destination. It is also a state of mind. Most of the first timers are drawn to the South of Bali, a region blessed with incredible beaches and world class surf.

kuta Beach

Kuta was discovered by the flower children and the surfers of the 1960s. Just a short drive from Bali International airport, where the place is famous for nightlife and shopping, is the one that was a former fish market. Now that you get the chance to see that place, you would be amazed to see the greatest transformation ever. It’s even hard to imagine that it was once a sleepy fishing village. Kuta’s crescent shape still retains the magical quality casting a spell over the sun worshippers from all over the world. From Kuta, grab your beach sarong and walk to the beach north to the beaches of Legian, Double six and Seminyak where things really mellow out. Step into the sand of Seminyak and into the Petitenget temple. The temple was built centuries ago around a simple shrine built to appease troublesome spirits who haunted the area. Today, Seminyak is a tranquil place known for its great hotels and fashion boutiques. Book flights through any of the international travel agencies as they offer the best price deals for you to come here even if it is the last minute flights. People come here to trade as well and you also find the availability of business class flights to Bali.

Destination bali

Bali has come a long way since its days as a backpacker destination. Head South from Kuta to the Bukit Peninsula where you will find the luxury resort enclave of Nusa Dua, a name synonymous with seclusion and style. On the peninsula’s left side is Bali’s one of the most finest and popular beaches, Jimbaran. At the end of the day, pull a chair at one of the seafood restaurants and experience an incredible spectacle as Bali’s gods hurl paint across the heavens. A little further South, jutting out into the Java Sea is the rock at land’s end, Uluwatu. Follow the cliff-top pathways to reach then most exotic temples of Bali and then grab your board and peddle down into the Uluwatu’s legendary swells. Discovering more of Bali is a breeze. Hire a van with a driver for the day.

shores of Bali

It is here among the volcanic mountain mists of Kintamani and beyond that the island’s most revered Gods reside. Down below, the rest of the Bali awaits as well as nearby treasures like Lombok’s Gilli islands. Indonesia has thousands of islands to explore but few others in this archipelago or else the rest of the world can beat the culture, natural beauty and spirit of Bali. Bali is truly a blessing. Book best flight tickets through any online travel agency website and fly to Bali.
