STROLLING STONES OF DEATH VALLEY

Innumerable stones nestled comfortably in a playa which has nothing else but stones. Before you wonder, let us tell you that Playas are usually straight and flat surfaces that are totally of the same level. Like the North of the playa could hardly be one and a half inch higher than the South of the playa.
Diving deeper into the topic of Playas, we have one particular playa names Racetrack Playa that is a very unique place to visit. Yes if you have already guessed it to be located in California then you are perfectly right. We are talking about the very famous Death Valley and its strolling stones that were formed around the year of 1915 or may be before that.
So let’s arrive at the mystery and the unbelievable adventure that awaits us in the playa which has not been solved till date. Head towards the South of the racetrack valley towards the Ubehebe Crater that is 730 feet wide and remains as a part of a steaming explosion that took place 3000 years ago. So driving 27 miles ahead of this crater on the washboard road is where we will find what we are exactly looking for.
At the point of the Teakettle Junction, we will be finding the bizarre habit of hanging tea kettles of all sorts which is still unexplained. People hand or tie kettles of all varieties and materials. Okay! That is not the main part of this road yet. Nearly 10 miles ahead of this junction is where you need to get down.
In 2015, a group of researchers tried sitting patiently and waiting for a considerably long amount of time to see a little of what they were expecting. They captured the slightly visible and noticeable movement which has been seen but that hasn’t made much of significance as the movement was almost negligible which can be due to wind and the surface of the playa. Nevertheless, if you ever feel like booking cheap flights through any international travel agency then please do and try going there. You might find it fascinating.
